Stan Lee was a legendary n comic book writer, editor, publisher, media producer, television host, actor, and voice actor. In his early career, he worked as an office boy for Marvel Comics, fetching lunch, proofreading, and refilling ink jars. After proving his creative ability, he became interim editor and eventually president of the entire company. He is widely recognized for his creations of superheroes such as Spider-Man, The Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, and Doctor Strange, among others. He gained national recognition when he created The Fantastic Four, in which his heroes were imperfect rather than perfect. He made these superheroes with his colleagues, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. Through his satirical writing and the elements of the natural world he brought into the world of these superheroes, he revolutionized the comic world, making them viable and responsible. Lee transformed Marvel Comics from a small publishing company into a multimedia corporation. He also wrote weekly columns and produced many superhero-based ventures through his production company, creating superheroes and writing plots for comics.
Lee’s innovative contributions to comics have won him awards, including the National Medal of Arts, Saturn Awards, Scream Awards, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Producers Guild of America and Visual Effects Society Awards. He died on November 12th, 2018, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
